Mosta House wraps along its site to create two extruded units linked together. The whole building becomes a reflection of itself. Set to be a family home, the interplay between privacy and open space was experimented with through a unique form that shades interiors from their surroundings but opens up at its ends, allowing for a breach to the outdoors. The site contrasts with its surroundings through its materiality as the bulkiness of the raw stone already present on site differs from the lightness of the polished limestone used in the new intervention.
